• Higher data rate over a dial up connection at least 256Kbits upstream and  256Kbits downstream on a 256K connection.  Speed can be ordered up to 7Mbit.
• The DSL connection is always on there are no time out intervals.  
• With proper configuration more than one PC can access the Internet.
• You do not need a separate phone line for DSL.  You can send and receive phone calls while you are on line.  For those of you with a separate phone line for dial-up access you will not need that line with DSL.  That savings alone could nearly pay for your DSL service.

However, if you decide to sign yourself up for DSL service follow these steps:

1. First you must qualify your phone line.  Click here to qualify your own phone line.
2. Once you are qualified, you need to sign up for DSL service with US West.  You can do this by calling Qwest at (877) MEGA-FAS.
3. Be sure to tell the Qwest Customer Rep that you want to use Sun Dot Communications as your ISP.
