Setup
of your Outlook E-mail Client
- Double
click My Computer, this is on your desktop window.
- Double
click on the Control Panel icon
- Double
click on the Mail icon
- Under
the Services tab select the button Add
- In
the window “Add Service to Profile” select Internet E-mail and then
click the OK button
- In
the window “Mail Account Properties” under the General tab enter a
name for your mail account i.e. Sun Dot Mail. Then in the “User
Information” area enter your name in the Name box and your E-mail
address in the E-mail address box.
- Next
Click on the Servers tab and enter the appropriate information for the
type of connection you are using. You
can select the “Remember password” box if you do not want to enter
your password every time you start Outlook.

- Next
click the Connections tab. If
you are a Dial-up user select “Connect
using the phone line”. Also
in the “Use the following Dial-Up Networking Connection” select the
dial-up connection that you created for your Sun Dot dial-up connection.
- Click
the OK button and you now should have an Internet E-mail account setup
followed with the name you used in step 6, i.e. Internet E-mail – Sun Dot
Mail
- Click
the OK button to close the window.
- Click
the box with a X in on the top right corner to close the Control Panel.
- Your
Outlook mail client should now be setup.
